Responsibilities

We seek a highly motivated and skilled entrylevel Water Conveyance Engineer I to join our team. In this entrylevel position you will play an essential role in the planning design and analysis of water and wastewater conveyance systems. Working alongside experienced professionals you will gain valuable technical and practical experience contributing to meaningful infrastructure projects that support our communities.   • Perform entrylevel engineering tasks under the supervision of experienced engineers applying standard techniques procedures and criteria to routine assignments.
  • Conduct preliminary engineering evaluations and studies to identify design improvement alternatives compare options and assist in making design recommendations for water and wastewater conveyance systems.
  • Analyze reports maps drawings aerial photographs and survey data to plan and develop construction documents.
  • Collaborate on the preparation of design plans assisting with drafting and layout using tools like AutoCAD and ArcGIS.
  • Create ArcGIS exhibits for project planning and documentation.
  • Prepare accurate quantity estimates and support project planning tasks.
  • Conduct fieldwork and site reconnaissance to gather project data and support construction monitoring efforts.
  • Ensure project quality by adhering to Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) guidelines for assigned tasks.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors or Masters degree in Civil Engineering or a closely related discipline from an accredited college or university.
  • EngineerInTraining (EIT) certification or passing the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam within six months of start date.
  • 01 years of experience in the field or a related area.
  • Understanding of public water and wastewater systems surveying principles and basic engineering terminology.
  • ArcGIS Pro experience is a plus but not a requirement.
  • Strong analytical problemsolving and communication skills.
  • Valid drivers license
