TITLE: Social Studies TeacherJOB GOAL: As a high school Social Studies teacher your role is to educate and inspire students in the field of history and social sciences. You will be responsible for teaching courses in the social studies department which may include Advanced Placement courses. PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:1. Plan and Deliver Lessons: Develop engaging lesson plans that align with the curriculum and educational standards. Use a variety of teaching methods such as lectures discussions group activities and multimedia presentations to cater to different learning styles.2. Assess Student Performance: Evaluate student progress through assignments projects quizzes and exams. Provide constructive feedback to help students improve their understanding and skills. Keep track of grades and maintain accurate records.3. Create a Positive Learning Environment: Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom environment where students feel comfortable asking questions sharing ideas and collaborating with their peers. Encourage critical thinking creativity and teamwork.4. Collaborate with Colleagues: Work closely with other teachers and staff members to coordinate curriculum share resources and promote interdisciplinary learning opportunities. Participate in department meetings and schoolwide initiatives.5. Attendance is an essential function of all BWRSD positions.
