Job Description

Amazon Last Mile Technology is the team that enables superfast delivery for Amazon. We build products and technology that enables the stations and drivers to deliver your packages from their last stop to your home. We need rock start software development engineers to join several new initiatives.

As a key member of Last Mile Delivery Technology you will be an innovator playing a direct role in shaping and building products that partner teams rely on and customers love on top of Amazons technology. We aim to work smarter not harder and regularly iterate to maintain and improve worklife balance. As an SDEII at Amazon you will have the opportunity to positively impact millions of customers by identifying opportunities designing solutions collaborating with worldclass engineers and delivering large impactful endtoend projects and improvements.

Key job responsibilities
Design develop implement test and document embedded or distributed software applications tools systems and services.
Translate functional requirements into robust efficient supportable solutions that work well within the overall system architecture.

Participate in the full development cycle endtoend from design implementation and testing to documentation delivery and maintenance.

Produce comprehensive usable software documentation.

Evaluate and make decisions around the use of new or existing software products and tools.

Mentor junior development engineers.




3 years of noninternship professional software development experience
2 years of noninternship design or architecture (design patterns reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
Experience programming with at least one software programming language

3 years of full software development life cycle including coding standards code reviews source control management build processes testing and operations experience
Bachelors degree in computer science or equivalent

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $129300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $223600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on jobrelated knowledge skills and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered equity signon payments and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package in addition to a full range of medical financial and/or other benefits.
