Job Description

The Inventory Specialist is responsible for following guidelines policies and procedures for Asset Management software and assisting in monitoring and maintaining the accuracy of inventory located in the warehouses. Responsible for providing administrative support and coordination for all asset management services for Corporate Interiors to include both onsite inventory and customerbased storage.

  • Tracks incoming and outgoing assets by downloading information from inventory scanner into computer database.
  • Develops and maintains a customer storage database by creating a standards product catalog including menu and condition codes specific to each customer.
  • Upon request provides monthly inventory reports to customers utilizing Crystal Report Writer and Snaptracker Software.
  • Develops and generates individualized customer reports as determined by the customers needs.
  • Provides month end customer storage detail including square footage and rack capacity to the Warehouse Manager.
  • Assists and provides additional training for Corporate Interiors employees on how to use the Snap tracker system and work order system.
  • Assists Database Manager in maintaining database for measuring and monitoring data such as storage capacity percentage of available space and percentage being used for nonbillable activities square footage being used by each customer etc.
  • Performs regularly scheduled cyclecounts to assure accuracy of customerbased storage accounts as well as CI owned assets.
  • Assists in general warehousing tasks to include but not limited to unloading trailers locating stock pulling stock and general housekeeping.
Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED.
  • 2 years in warehousing or asset/inventory management experience.
  • Quick learner with attention to detail
  • Basic PC Skills: Microsoft Excel; Crystal Reporting; database skills and understanding of software technology.
  • Knowledge of asset management/inventory systems preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Attention to detail and thorough when completing work tasks.
  • Have mechanical aptitude.
  • Ability to operate material handling equipment.
  • Ability to lift and move heavy objects.
  • Strong customer service skills and ability to work well in a team environment.
