Job Description
Materials Planner: Plans schedules and monitors the movement of material through the production cycle. Determines material requirements from engineering and production schedules. Coordinates the efficient movement of materials with purchasing production and engineering. Develops specifications for new contract orders. Responsible for procurement business system data input and integrity; creates and maintains bills of material and parts/commodities numbers in supply chain management or other enterprisewide systems.
Job Requirements
- Bachelors degree in related field AND 23 years of buying/planning experience; OR 5 years of buying experience; OR Any equivalent combination of experience and/or education from which comparable knowledge skills and abilities have been achieved.
- Applicant needs to have excellent computer skills as well as organizational skills.
- Must be able to multitask.
- Requires the ability to understand and adhere to all laws pertaining to procurement contracts breach by contract etc.
Preferred Additional Skills
- Previous experience with Epicor software CRM or ERP system
- Experience in a production driven environment
