Director of Parent Engagement
Hendrix College is seeking a fulltime 12month Director of Parent Engagement. Reporting to the Executive Director of Alumni and Constituent Engagement & Director of Annual Giving the Director of Parent Engagement is responsible forleading and executing key initiatives to foster meaningful relationships with Hendrix parents. This includes managing the Hendrix Parent Fund overseeing the Parent Leadership Council supporting admitted student events in collaboration with the Office of Admission producing a monthly newsletter contributing to the planning of annual events and assisting with class giving goals during reunion years.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES Office of Alumni and Constituent Engagement (ACE) - Serve as a liaison between parents and college administration faculty and staff.
- Create a monthly newsletter through Slate for over 7000 current and former parents.
- Update content for & Hendrix Parent social media pages.
- Assist with ACE events and assignments including New Student Convocation Family Weekend Alumni Weekend and commencement.
- Support the Office of Admission on special visit days and as requested.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES Annual Giving - Create and implement a strategic plan for the Hendrix Parent Fund & the Parent LeadershipCouncil in consultation with the Director of Annual Giving
- Track progress and visit prospective parent donors.
- Host two events per year for parent donors.
- Coordinate annual meetings for the Parent Leadership Council.
- Assist with goals for class reunion giving in consultation with the Executive Director for ACE and the Director of Annual Giving.
- Participate in weekly Office of Advancement meetings.
QUALIFICATIONS - Bachelors degree
- Preferred prior experience in development and/or alumni affairs and volunteer work.
- Excellent analytical organizational written and verbal communication skills.
- Knowledge of database management systems (Slate) and proficiency in.
- Ability to travel and work evenings/weekends as needed.

WORKING CONDITIONS - Typical office environment; must be able to use office equipment such as computer printer fax machine copier etc.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 lbs.
