Job Overview:
Do you have a passion for mental healthcare but havent found a team that shares the same level of enthusiasm and compassionate care We believe each staff member plays an integral role in meeting our mission to provide the highest quality of care possible. Riverview Psychiatric Centerseeks Mental Health Workers to provide paraprofessional support work involving the direct care rehabilitation and behavior modification of patients in state institutions. Responsibilities include implementing programs in the treatment and education of individuals with mental illness providing direct patient care and maintainingpatient areas. Employees may act as group leader of primary aide over an assigned group of patients. Work is performed under general supervision.
This position will specialize in taking patients into the community for various trips appointments visits and other community reintegration activities. These positions will also assist the Recreation Department on an as needed basis. A valid Maine Drivers license and the ability to operate a State of Maine owned vehicle is required. When not accompanying patients in the community these positions will function as Mental Health Worker IIs assigned to unit schedules. These are flex positions and will be assigned to schedules with every other weekend rotation.
Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent and two (2) years of direct care mental health experience. A valid drivers license in the State of Maine.
