Pay Grade: B07
Qualifications:
Masters degree
Three years administrative experience in human resources or campus level administration
Valid Texas Administrative certificate or Human Resource Management Certification (preferred)
Supervisory experience
Available to travel/recruit
Knowledge of selection training supervision and evaluation of personnel
Ability to interpret and implement policies and procedures
Strong communication public relations and interpersonal skills
Primary Purpose:
Serve as a Human Resources expert and advise principals districtwide as well as all department supervisors on policy regulations and personnel matters. Responsible for the development and implementation of Human Resource programs including employee training recruitment staffing and employee retention. Maintain knowledge of teacher certification requirements for the state of Texas and all legal compliance policies related to employment.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
a. Understanding of current and future needs.
b. Communication with employees.
14. Utilize and enhance (as needed) all related software management systems related to Human Resources.
15. Provide support to Employee Relations with regard to Incident Reporting.
16. Assist campus/district personnel with appraisal process to ensure effective evaluation.
17. Assist with campus and department staffing for the current and upcoming school year.
18. Develop and provide training to all new employees during district New Hire Meetings.
19. Review recommended employee files and complete all job offers in a timely manner.
20. Participate in professional development activities to maintain current knowledge of HR policies regulations and practices.
21. Other duties as assigned.
Equipment Used:
Personal computer cell phone typewriter printer copier and fax machine.
Working Conditions:
Work with frequent interruptions. Maintain emotional control under stress. Frequent districtwide and statewide travel; occasional prolonged and irregular hours. Able to travel by plane or car manipulate large boxes of recruiting materials prolonged standing and walking.
