Role Overview: We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Director of Finance to join our team. This role will be pivotal in building and leading our Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) function providing critical financial insights to drive business decisions and contributing to the efficiency of our accounting operations. The ideal candidate will be a handson leader with a strong analytical mindset excellent communication skills and a proven track record of success in a fastpaced environment. This position will directly report to the CFO and manage one direct report.
Location: Morrisville VT or Hybrid
FP&A Leadership:
Establish and lead the FP&A function including the development of budgeting forecasting and longrange planning processes.
Develop and maintain financial models to support strategic initiatives and business decisions.
Analyze financial performance identify trends and provide actionable insights to senior management.
Prepare and present monthly quarterly and annual financial reports and presentations.
Collaborate with department heads to develop and monitor departmental budgets and KPIs.
Drive continuous improvement in FP&A processes and reporting.
Accounting Support:
Assist the accounting team with the monthly close process ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
Support the preparation of monthly and quarterly financial statements and related reporting.
Contribute to the development and implementation of accounting policies and procedures.
Support audits and other compliance activities.
Strategic Partnership:
Serve as a strategic partner to senior management providing financial expertise and guidance.
Evaluate and analyze potential business opportunities and investments.
Support the development of key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to track business performance.
Identify and mitigate financial risks.
