Within our Analytical Services team we have a functional service provider solution which is a unique partnership that allows our customers to leverage the experience of our staff while allowing you the employee to gain direct experience working onsite at a pharmaceutical/ biopharmaceutical company all while maintaining fulltime benefits.
Key responsibilities:
The Stem Cell Scientist delivers reliably and responsibly on research initiatives including the development of human stem cell models and assays to evaluate targets and lead molecules for diseases. Applies technical prociency and attention to detail skills in troubleshooting and ability to interpret changes in methodological design. Works with supervisor in setting the objectives of initiatives but may have responsibility for some experimental design.
Key Duties:
- Executes and interprets experiments with a high degree of reliability
- Leverages technical experience to help prioritize studies based on Project impact
- Performs basic statistical analysis of experimental data where appropriate
- Conducts own experimental troubleshooting on routine problems
- Assists with publication and patent submission processes
- Prepares lucid protocols and written study reports
- Surveys relevant scientic literature to maintain awareness of issues and trends within the eld
- Present studies effectively at internal Group/Department or Project Team research meetings
- Performs other duties as assigned
Education and Experience:
- Bachelors degree in lab sciences such as Chemistry Biochemistry Material Science Immunology Biology Molecular Biology or similar
- Scientist: Previous experience that provides the knowledge skills and abilities to perform the job (comparable to 2 years)
- OR Masters degree
In some cases an equivalency consisting of a combination of appropriate education training and/or directly related experience will be considered sufficient for an individual to meet the requirements of the role.
Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
- Proven technical prociency and demonstrated skill in conducting and interpreting experiments including the development of human stem cell models and assays to evaluate targets and lead molecules for diseases.
- Uses technical knowledge to design and execute followup experiments
- Demonstrated understanding of analysis and interpretation of experimental data with prociency
- in problem solving and protocol renement
- Often deployed to investigations with more signicant consequences and need for reliability
- Effective communicator (written and verbal) especially within their technical area(s)
