Job Summary:

The College of Engineering at West Texas A&M University invites applications for a tenuretrack Assistant Professor position in Engineering or Computer Science with a research emphasis in waterrelated systems. The successful candidate will hold a Ph.D. in mechanical civil industrial electrical engineering computer science or a closely related field by the time of appointment.

We are seeking a dynamic scholar and educator with the ability to contribute to teaching and research in areas such as water resources water management water system design and operation or data analysis and modeling of waterrelated projects. The ideal candidate will complement and enhance the Colleges existing strengths and help advance research that serves the needs of rural regions like the Texas Panhandle.

NOTICE All posted positions are subject to budget approval.

Work Performed:

Tenuretrack faculty are expected to:

  • Establish a sustainable and nationally recognized research program.
  • Publish highquality peerreviewed research.
  • Engage in institutional professional and community service.
  • Foster innovation in teaching and curriculum development.

Necessary Qualifications:

  • Ph.D. in a relevant engineering or computer science discipline (required).
  • Ability to teach undergraduate and graduate engineering courses.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong research record or demonstrated potential in waterrelated engineering.
  • Commitment to interdisciplinary collaboration and externally funded research.
  • Capacity to mentor undergraduate and graduate students.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills.
