Trucks move 71% of freight in America ($800bn annually) & the trucking industry represents nearly 6% of the fulltime jobs in the country. If you look around you every item has sat on a truck at one point on its journey to you. However despite the industry being one of the greatest levers of innovation throughout history it is still deeply fragmented & structurally misaligned. The Account Executive will be responsible for identifying and developing new business opportunities for TruckSmarters new AI tool offering. This role requires excellent communication and relationshipbuilding skills strong sales pipeline management and the ability to work well in a team environment. This role will work closely with prospective clients to understand their load sourcing needs and sell our stateoftheart AI dispatcher solution.
The following represents the expected range of compensation for this role:
The annual On Target Earnings (OTE) range for the target level for this role is $75000$90000 (70% salary and 30% commission) equity benefits (listed below).
Working model: TruckSmarter offers an inoffice collaborative culture. This role is based out of our downtown Chicago office and requires inoffice presence three days per week (typically Mondays Wednesdays and Fridays).

Manage pipeline of prospective clients and own the qualifying onboarding and activation stages of the customer lifecycle.
Build relationships with prospective clients and maintain ongoing relationships with current clients.
Work closely with clients to understand their trucking business and assist them with the onboarding process.
Stay uptodate on logistics industry trends regulations and best practices related to load sourcing financing and agentic AI technology.
Bachelors degree in business or a related field.
2 years of quotacarrying experience in sales or business development preferably in the logistics or technology industry.
Comfort with software sales pricing models (ie. subscriptionbased plans credits etc.)
Excellent communication and relationshipbuilding skills.
Ability to work well in a team environment.
Strong problemsolving and negotiation skills.
Proficiency with relevant software systems and tools including Microsoft Excel customer relationship management software (Salesforce) or customer success ticketing (Zendesk) experience a plus.
