SUMMARY:

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic 0.7 FTE Physical Education teacher to joinour team at a 0.7 fulltime equivalent (FTE) position. We are lookingfor an educator who is passionate about promoting lifelong fitness health and wellness through a dynamic and inclusive PE program.

Start Date: 8/25/2025

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSILBILITES:

The teacher will be responsible for:

  • Develop and deliver highquality Physical Education lessons aligned with the National Physical Education Standards and Massachusetts state frameworks.

  • Foster a positive safe and engaging learning environment that encourages all students to participate in physical activity and develop healthy habits.

  • Design and adapt instruction to meet the diverse physical social and emotional needs of all learners.

  • Integrate teamwork sportsmanship and characterbuilding into daily instruction.

  • Promote inclusivity by respecting cultural diversity and multiple perspectives in PE settings.

  • Encourage students to apply critical thinking problemsolving and collaboration during physical activities and games.

  • Utilize assessments and student feedback to inform instruction and promote growth.

  • Collaborate with colleagues administrators and families to support student development and achievement.

  • Participate in ongoing professional learning and contribute to a collaborative and collegial school culture.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

  • Valid Massachusetts teaching license in Physical Education (PreK8) required.

  • Practicum or teaching experience working in Physical Education is preferred.
  • Bilingual (Spanish and/or Portuguese) a plus.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Successful completion of Criminal Records Check (CORI) and fingerprints

EVALUATION:

  • Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the Hudson School Committees policy on evaluation or in accordance with union contract.
