About the Job
The Red Hat Engineering team is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our Virtualization group. In this role youll help develop and productize innovative software solutions that offer customers a compelling alternative to VMware. Our teams broader mission is to deliver endtoend solutions that position Red Hat as a leader in emerging markets with a strong focus on upstream development and opensource community collaboration.
What you will do
Work with OpenShift one of the Red Hats 3 core technology pillars
Contribute code to increase the usability scalability and reliability of Red Hat offerings
Participate in peer review to increase the quality of our codebase and triage customer issues
Help and develop peers capabilities through knowledge sharing mentoring and collaboration
What you will bring
3 years of experience working on with virtualization technologies
2 years of experience working in a Linux environment with Golang (or similar technologies)
Ability to deep dive into new technologies and be productive
Proficient written and verbal communication skills in English
Demonstrated ability to debug and optimize code
Experience with opensource development and complex distributed systems
The following are considered a plus
Experience with a container ecosystem such as Docker Kubernetes Red Hat OpenShift
Familiarity with any of the following topics: highavailability storage networking

The salary range for this position is $133650.00 $220680.00. Actual offer will be based on your qualifications.Pay Transparency
Red Hat determines compensation based on several factors including but not limited to job location experience applicable skills and training external market value and internal pay equity. Annual salary is one component of Red Hats compensation package. This position may also be eligible for bonus commission and/or equity. For positions with RemoteUS locations the actual salary range for the position may differ based on location but will be commensurate with job duties and relevant work experience.
