Campus Safety Officer Part time

Knox College is looking to hire a part time Campus Safety Officer!

Knoxinvites applications for the parttime 12month position of Campus Safety Officer. This Campus Safety Officer will work on an asneeded basis up to 24 hours per week which may include any shift including nights weekends and/or holidays. This position reports to the Director of Campus Safety.

Essential Duties:

• Patrol campus in a vehicle and on foot for the protection of students employees visitors and their property
• Respond to emergency situations and routine requests for service
• Write incident reports
• Enforce Knox College rules and regulations
• Secure and provide authorized access to campus buildings
• Coordinate with emergency services when required
• Report any safety/security situations
  
  

Education and Experience:

Required Qualifications:

• Preferred two or more years experience in security or law enforcement
• Valid drivers license
• Ability to patrol on foot in all types of weather
• Strong professional written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to make sound decisions sometimes with limited information in fluid situations
