About the role

As a Relief Pharmacist with us youll be providing excellent customer and patient care its more than dispensing medicine its listening and providing your expert advice and reassurance. You wont be based from one pharmacy but provide service to customers and patients across a range of pharmacies. Your main areas of responsibility will be:
  • Delivering the pharmacy strategy through providing expert care and advice
  • Accountable for legal and ethical decisions in the pharmacy
  • Building the pharmacy capability of store teams
  • Conducting continual review through audit observations and risk assessment to ensure customer and patient safety is paramount
  • Delivering a range of professional pharmacy services

What youll need to have

To be successful in this role you will have a professional caring character and a true desire to help us change for the better. In addition you will:
  • Be registered with relevant pharmacy regulator (GPhC PSNI PSI)
  • Demonstrate high levels of professional expertise and be widely respected by stakeholders peers patients customers and external local professionals
  • Have a passion for community pharmacy and providing the best care for our customers.
  • Be collaborative with a teamcentered approach
  • Have excellent knowledge of pharmacy operations and provisions of national and local services
  • Be a great communicator; able to put people at ease and effectively meet the varied needs of our customers and patients

We are seeking a fulltime relief pharmacist to support our teams across the Bournemouth area.

As a Relief Pharmacist for Boots you will:

Gain confidence quickly.
Experience different stores and different challenges.
Receive flexible work patterns.
Learn best practice to share with other stores.
Build experience in delivering varied services.
Experience different stores that work with care homes GPs etc.
Encounter different management styles and staffing structures.
Receive paid transportation at 45 pence per mile

You will be stationed across 23 store maximum and we have a strong dedicated planning team that will present your rota to you at least 6 weeks in advance.

This is an exciting opportunity for you to work within busy service lead stores; you will have the support of experienced ACTs dispensers and pharmacy advisors as well as strong retail management support teams and a committed Line Manager and Director of Stores.
