Job Description
We are seeking a Project Engineer to join our engineering services team during construction for a large municipal infrastructure project in North Vancouver BC. The ideal candidate will have a background in civil engineering design and construction or construction management.
Key responsibilities:
- Collaborate with constructors designers and other professionals to clarify project plans drawings and specifications
- Conduct preliminary feasibility assessments on proposed constructability alternatives to assess viability.
- Independently performs walkdowns and inspections of equipment to assess conformance with specifications and design.
- Provide regular project updates and maintain detailed construction logs and documentation.
- Review and approve project documentation provide input on technical elements of change orders and payment requests.
- Coordinate with suppliers contractor and owner to facilitate efficient project execution
Qualifications :
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in engineering construction engineering or a related field
- Experience in construction engineering or project management (min 8 years)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Displays knowledge and abilities to evaluate select and apply standard engineering techniques procedures and criteria to meet basic engineering and construction specifications.
- Displays applications of sound professional judgment on details of work.
- Proficiency in construction management software
- Excellent communication and organizational abilities
