Job Summary
The Key Account Manager will be responsible for overseeing sales efforts for Orgill and other national retail distributors in the United States and Canada. The Key Account Manager will collaborate with Merchandising and Purchasing teams managing the dealer relationships and supporting customer growth. You will be a hunter with a great understanding of the retail competitive landscape and what it takes to win. The ideal candidate will be able to quickly identify a customers needs and promote our companys solutions with the goal of fostering a longterm relationship.
Principal Responsibilities
Develop strategic sales plans to achieve company goals and objectives.
Conduct monthly and Quarterly business reviews
Build and develop trusting relationships with major clients continuously proposing solutions that meet their objectives
Acquire a thorough understanding of key customer needs and requirements
Ensure the correct products and services are delivered to customers in a timely manner
Conduct visits throughout the USA to strengthen dealer relationships and support business growth
Provide feedback to the retail product development team based on customer insights and market trends
Monitor competitor activities and recommend strategies accordingly.
Engage with the Customer purchasing team to optimize inventory and service levels and reduce stockouts
Prepare regular reports of KPIs progress and forecasts to internal and external stakeholdersusing key account metrics
Ensure you are meeting/exceeding financial milestones
Ability to create effective reports and the capability to analyze these reports.
Comfortable presenting to large audiences and senior leadership teams
Ability to build and manage assortments and POGs
Job Requirements
Post secondary education in Business Administration or similar experience
A minimum of 5 years experience managing retail/building supply customers.
Must have excellent financial acumen and have the ability to understand financial reporting.
Outside sales experience is required.
