Job Description

The responsibilities for this position include assisting in planning and designing Abandoned Mine Land (AML) and reclamation projects impoundment design and inspections site design site grading stormwater design permitting (including National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System NPDES) preparing technical reports and project management. The successful candidate will work with senior engineering staff to manage miningrelated reclamation projects. Domestic travel may be required for visits to client mine sites as well as for client and corporate meetings.

Qualifications :

The ideal candidate will have the following:

  • Bachelor of science or master of science degree in civil environmental or mining engineering from an ABET accredited university
  • A minimum of 1 year of mining engineering work experience
  • At least 1 year of experience using miningrelated software such as AutoCAD Map 3D Carlson Rotational Equilibrium Analysis of Multilayered Earthworks (REAME) or equivalent Sedcad Software or other equivalent commercial packages
  • A minimum of 1 year of slope stabilization experience
  • A minimum of 1 year of experience interpreting and applying the guidelines in the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA)
