Job Description

JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Payroll Specialist will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing for our employees across the US and Canada. This position requires a detailoriented individual with strong analytical skills and the ability to handle sensitive information with discretion. The Payroll Specialist will be responsible for overseeing the entire payroll cycle ensuring compliance with local tax regulations and providing exceptional support to employees regarding payroll inquiries.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • US and Canada Payroll experience required; International experience preferred.
  • Dayforce system experience Required.
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in payroll processing.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience using Workday.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
  • Ability to work well independently.
  • Exceptional organizational and time management abilities.

Requirements:

  • Completed Associated Degree OR achieved Bachelors or Master Degree.

Payroll Process:

  • Oversee the endtoend payroll processing cycle including data input calculations and distribution of paychecks or direct deposits.
  • Ensure compliance with all local payroll tax regulations and reporting requirements.
  • Review payroll transactions and adjustments.
  • Investigate and work with a sense of urgency to resolve errors or warnings.
  • Resolve any inquiries and transactions in a timely accurate fashion.
  • Manage time and attendance reporting.
  • Assist employees with questions and concerns regarding payroll.
  • Possess indepth knowledge of payroll tax functions including but not limited to reconciliation and responding to and resolving state inquiries.
  • Experience with system implementation.

Compliance and Reporting:

  • Prepare payrollrelated reports for government agencies as required.
  • Participate in internal and external audits related to payroll.
