Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Electric Vehicle (EV) Technician with a minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience working with electric vehicles. Candidates with experience servicing General Motors (GM) EVs will be given preference. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented safety-conscious and passionate about advancing their career in the rapidly growing EV sector.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform diagnostics maintenance and repairs on electric vehicles including battery systems high-voltage components charging systems and EV drivetrains
- Conduct routine inspections identify potential issues and accurately document findings
- Interpret technical manuals and schematics related to EV systems
- Work with the latest diagnostic tools and software to troubleshoot EV-specific problems
- Collaborate with team members and provide technical support as needed
- Ensure all work is performed in compliance with safety standards and manufacturer guidelines
- Keep up to date with the latest EV technologies and participate in ongoing training
- Communicate effectively with customers regarding vehicle status repair options and maintenance recommendations
Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years of experience working as an EV technician or in a similar automotive technician role focused on electric vehicles
- Experience with GM electric vehicles (Chevrolet Bolt GMC Hummer EV Cadillac Lyriq etc.) strongly preferred
- Certification from an accredited automotive/EV program is a plus
- Familiarity with high-voltage systems and safety protocols
- Proficient in using diagnostic equipment and repair software
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Valid drivers license and clean driving record
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
