They are responsible for successfully transferring knowledge to students in the subject area for which they are hired. The instructor will ensure a syllabus learning objectives lesson plans instructional materials tools equipment and supplies are available to perform the required instruction. The instructor will coordinate with the adult education administrators and staff to ensure grades attendance and other information needed are available for student records. Ensure students are adequately prepared to sit for certification/licensing examinations as appropriate.

SALARY: Appropriate placement on the Adult Education Employees Salary Schedule based on experience and education
REPORTS TO: Superintendent or Designee

WORKWEEK/YEAR: Hourly as determined
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: High School Diploma or possession of a General Education Development (GED) certificate. Must possess sufficient work experience and content knowledge to teach the subject area including current and valid certification credential or State License as required in the area of instruction with a minimum of 5 years of industryspecific experience. Be credentialed in Medical Assisting with at least one of the following: CMA (AAMA) RMA (AMT) CCMA (NHA) or NCMA (NCCT) if the Medical Assisting Program Director is not so credentialed. Ensure student safety at all times. Ensure curriculum lesson plans and learning objectives are organized effectively communicated utilized and consistent with the objectives of the class. Proven capability to prepare correspondence to all stakeholders. Ability to operate various office machines. A motivated selfstarter with strong timemanagement abilities. Able to work quickly and independently handling multiple projects at one time and meeting deadlines. Demonstrated ability to problemsolve. Professional tact diplomacy and presentation with staff students and stakeholders. Record of excellent attendance. Ability to establish and maintain positive and effective working relationships with administrators staff students parents associates vendors and community members. Ability to work weekend evening and/or summer hours.
DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS: Reside or work in Medina County. Previous experience in education. Associates degree or higher. Experience working within a budget.
