Job Description
The Texarkana Arkansas School District is accepting applications for school nurseat an elementary school campus for theschool year. The school nurse will assist in development and implementation of a comprehensive program of health services for the school be responsible for providing direct health services to student promote health education and preventive health practices for students and serve as health advocate for students.
Applicants mustmeet the following qualifications:
1. Pass a national criminal background check and a background check of the Arkansas Child Maltreatment Central Registry;
2. Be a graduate of an accredited professional nursing education program;
3. Possess a valid registerednurse license in Arkansas fromt he State Board of Nurse Examiners;
4. Possess two years of nursing experience preferably in community health;
a calm and patient demeanor with students and others.
This position is a 197day contracted position salary dependent uponlicense level and experience. The position will begin in August 2022.
