Production Control Technician Front End Days (FED)

Compressed Work WeekFront End Days Every Sunday Monday Tuesday and every other Wednesday. 5:30 am 6:00 pm

Earn $20.00 to $25.00 per hour based on experience and shift

POSITION SUMMARY:

Performs clerical tasks in the production control function. Sorts posts and files inventory records and production schedules. Estimates and records production rates prepares shop orders and reviews stock records to determine stock status against project requirements.Performs a variety of coordinating routing and material handling duties to meet production schedules. Monitors the flow of materials and parts between departments in order to meet scheduled commitments. Expedites parts to remedy shortage problems. Internally picksup and delivers materials within company and maintains records on material flow. Ensures incoming materials are properly routed. Maintains files logs records of invoices purchase orders and other related documentation. Maintains information on computer systems. Contacts vendors to obtain prices and schedule delivery dates. Develops and maintains resources for assigned commodity items. Assignments require initiative regarding pricing revisions order cancellations discontinued items acceptable substitutes delivery date revisions and invoice discrepancies. Will assist in packaging and labeling outgoing and incoming material in a manner to ensure undamaged delivery to the proper recipient. Will assist in receiving inspecting unpacking and verifying all incoming material against packing list and PO. Completes required computerized purchase order transactions. Ideal candidates will have experience in international shipping inventory control and related experience in a manufacturing environment. Will operate tools for processing inspection and any other wafer fab production assistance as needed. Works on assignments that are moderately difficult requiring judgment in resolving issues or in making recommendations. Responsible for and makes recommendations to fulfill departmental quality safety quantity and teamwork requirements.

SKILL:Applies acquired job skills and company policies and procedures to complete assigned tasks.
JOB COMPLEXITY:Works on assignments that are semi routine in nature but recognizes the need for occasional deviation from accepted practice.
SUPERVISION:Normally follow established procedures on routine work; requires instructions only on new assignments.
EXPERIENCE:Typically requires a minimum of 1 2 years of related experience.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Attends and contributes to daily production meetings.
Performs cycle counts and reconciles inventory variances.
Responsible for evaluating inventory and determining investment decisions.
Works with multiple departments to order tools tool parts and other specialty items.
Responsible for packaging parts for shipment and inventorying received parts.
Tracks order shipment and/or receiving dates and completes corresponding paperwork.
Covert parts to expense (quarterly).
May occasionally assist accounting and procurement.
Responsible for delivering some supplies to appropriate departments.
Responsible for evaluating inventory and determining investment decisions.
Supports and execution of SBR
Attend training and learn new Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system.
Works closely with engineers and senior technicians.
May perform functions associated with assembly production including packaging final inspection SBR verification and order staging as dictated by business needs
May perform functions associated with wafer production including photolithography thin film etch diffusion inspection and saw & grind as dictated by business needs
Trained in proper handling of chemicals and hazardous waste.
Discusses technical problems encountered with supervisor or engineering personnel.
Collects and evaluates operating and process data and may recommend means to improve operational processes.
Works on assignments that are moderately difficult requiring judgment in resolving issues or in making recommendations.

QUALIFICATIONS:

To perform this job successfully an individual must be able to perform each essential job function satisfactorily. REQUIRED:

High school degree or equivalent and 12 years of related experience.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Knowledge of Maintenance Repair and Operating (MRP) parts buying Build of Material (BOM) structure and Material Requirements Planning (MRP).
Knowledge of manufacturing business practices.
Collects and evaluates operating and process data and may recommend means to improve operational processes.
Works on assignments that are moderately difficult requiring judgment in resolving issues or in making recommendations.

DESIRED:

Knowledge of printhead manufacturing processes relevant to materials coordination.
Previous SAP experience
Inventory control experience.
