Overview
The Trailer Mechanic performs thorough inspections and related repairs on equipment.
Responsibilities
- Perform preventative maintenance inspections to comply with DOT regulations
- Properly diagnose and repair trailer fleet.
- Repair trailer damage
- Complete all necessary tags and work orders
- Maintain a clean safe work environment
- Maintain a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating in a manner which facilitates the success of business operations in order to meet company demands and expectations.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Education/Experience
- Valid drivers license required
- Minimum 18 months mechanical related experience in the Transportation heavy equipment Agriculture or Automotive Industry.
Skills and Abilities
- Ability to read and understand repair manuals.
- Ability to complete repair orders
- Ability to routinely lift push and/or pull up to 80 lbs.
- Ability to climb ladders and work outdoors
- Demonstrated proven customer service skills
- Must have solid judgment problemsolving and decisionmaking skills
- Must be selfmotivated and work with minimal supervision.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends.
