AGENCY DESCRIPTION: The Maine Bureau of Parks and Lands (BPL) in the Department of Agriculture Conservation and Forestry has an opening for a Property Records & Lease Manager (Planning and Research Associate II). BPL manages over 700000 acres of fee owned land with conservation easements and leases bringing the total land area conserved to over 2 million acres. These lands are managed for a variety of resource values including recreation cultural and historic values wildlife ecology and timber.
This fulltime position may be located in Augusta Farmington or Bangor.*
BRIEF JOB DESCRIPTION: The Bureaus Property Records & Lease Manager oversees a significant camp lot lease program as well as management of other leases on Bureau properties. The position has primary responsibility for maintaining all Bureau property records. The Property Records & Lease Manager administers several databases associated with tracking property records and leases. Additionally the position serves as one of the key personnel involved in geographic information services related to property boundaries and attributes.
While the position is predominantly an officebased position there is a significant field monitoring component focused on physically inspecting leased properties across the Bureaus land base. There is also a work component examining and researching lease policies and assisting with transactions.
The opportunity for a hybrid work schedule is an option with this position following management approval and the DACF Telework Policy guidelines.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: An eight (8) year combination of education training and/or experience providing a knowledge of planning and research principles practices and techniques.
