The agency is seeking a highly qualified candidate for the position ofHealthcare Program Consultant Supervisorwithin theFulton County Board of Healthin theHealth Promotion Division.

Job Responsibilities

Supervises and plans work of assigned staff. Provides technical assistance and training within a health care specialty. Plans directs and implements a specialty program. Evaluates programs for compliance with state and/or federal guidelines.

  • Assist the Program Manager with ensuring high quality implementation of Chronic Disease Prevention Program activities. This position will provide continual coaching support and guidance to staff in implementing communitywide strategies that promote physical activity address food insecurity and prevent tobacco use.
  • Supervise guide and/or instruct the work assignments of subordinate staff.
  • Train the staff responsible for the development and implementation of evidencebased best practices and promising practices in chronic disease prevention programs such worksite wellness heathy eating active living health ministry addressing obesity in Fulton County tobacco control and community health worker initiative.
  • Plan direct and implement a specialty program.
  • Develop partnerships and assess community health needs.
  • Assure quality service delivery and oversee data collection and reporting to illustrate programmatic outcomes.
  • Analyze policies and make recommendations and connect stakeholders or individuals to resources that facilitate healthy behaviors or help to create healthy communities.
  • Establish and maintain a list of resources and promote use among partners and stakeholders.
  • Identify grant funding opportunities to support the program.
  • Evaluate programs for compliance with state and/or federal guidelines.
  • Must be available to work at nights and weekends.
  • Lead special health initiatives for the chronic disease prevention program or community events.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelors degree in a related field from an accredited college or university and five (5) years of experience performing work related to the area of assignment which includes two (2) years in a managerial or supervisory role or one (1) year of experience at the lower level Healthcare Prgm Consultant 3 (HCP092) or position equivalent.

Preferred Qualifications

  1. Bachelors degree in Public Health Health Policy or related field and 3 to 5 years of experience supervising staff.
  2. Extensive experience in program planning and/or project management or partnership development.
  3. Strong understanding of chronic diseases and evidencebased prevention strategies.
  4. Ability to deliver presentations prepare reports and write grants.
  5. Proven experience in implementing evidencebased strategies to facilitate behavioral and environmental changes.
  6. Experience working with community members and key stakeholders to facilitate policymaking and environmental changes.

Fulton County Board of Health accepts educational credentials recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA) and/or the US Department of Education (DOE) will be considered. Situational Reasoning: Requires the ability to exercise judgment decisiveness and creativity in critical and/or unexpected situations involving moderate risk to the organization.
