Role description:
Arcadis seeks a Senior Account Leader / Project Managerto join our team to lead and direct the development of water and wastewater opportunities as a clientfacing project director / manager in our sellerdoer role will focus on maintaining and developing business in the northcentral Alabama area.
As a Senior Account Leader you will collaborate with our Area Leaders and Technical Experts to successfully win and execute projects and achieve our clients objectives while providing excellent client services. In addition you will contribute to the strategic growth planning and support of various key market initiatives throughout the region.
Role accountabilities:
The Senior Account Leader/Project Manager will implement strategies to expand services to current clients and to add new clients.
Responsibilities include:
- Build and strengthen client relationships with a goal of becoming a trusted advisor to our clients.
- Understanding client organizations processes and culture to create value added solutions.
- Lead pursuit plans and develop client engagement strategies and participate in task order development and interviews to win new projects.
- Oversee the planning design and construction administration of projects to ensure we develop quality services and deliverables within project schedules.
- Serve as a senior technical resource on small to large sized multidisciplined municipal drinking water planning program management and delivery projects.
- Support in the development of junior and midlevel staff.
- Development of scope and cost proposals for task orders and projects.
- Ability to deliver key financial performance including growth.
- Travel up to 10%for project site visits client meetings etc.
Qualifications & Experience:
Required Qualifications
- 15 years of experience in client/project management in the water/wastewater sector.
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering in Civil Environmental Chemical or Mechanical Engineering.
- P.E. License and ability to acquire PE Licensure in Alabama within 1 year.
Key Skills/Attributes
- Excellent technical engineering skills.
- Capital planning and prioritization experience.
- Strong clear and concise written and oral communication skills.
- Leads teams and collaborates with clients.
- Excellent technical writing skills.
- Client relationships/experience with the local municipalities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Masters in Civil Environmental Chemical or Mechanical Engineering.
- 5 years relevant sales and account management experience.
- Client/Project Management experience on municipal water wastewater or stormwater projects of various sizes.
- Strong experience and knowledge in drinking water planning and treatment.
- Existing relationships with municipal clients in the region would be desirable.

Actual salaries will vary and are based on several factors such as experience education budget internal equity project and location.
