Business Analyst I

(Hybrid/Onsite/Local)

12 days onsite in Mechanicsburg PA

Seeking a detailoriented and resultsdriven technofunctional Business Analyst I. The Business Analyst I should bridge the gap between business requirements and technology solutions. This role works closely with stakeholders across the organization to gather requirements analyze processes and partner with development teams to design and deliver effective technical solution that support strategic initiatives.

Responsibilities

As a Business Analyst you will provide support to projects related to a variety applications critical to our outpatient line of business. In this role you will be viewed as a subject matter expert. The areas of responsibilities include completion of assigned tasks for newly developed functionality implementation of application software and maintenance of existing applications. You will be responsible for creating and maintaining documentation as well as testing application functionality. You will ensure customer satisfaction by responding in a timely manner for issues escalated from the Solution Center. This position must coordinate and communicate with other IS resources who are assigned to support application issues and project tasks. Provide on call support as required and occasional planned off hours support for project/release implementations.

  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to elicit analyze and document functional requirements.
  • Translate business requirement into technical specifications for development teams.
  • Lead and/or support system configuration testing and deployment activities.
  • Implement new applications/features and/or maintain applications/features.
  • Troubleshoot issues and coordinate with technical teams to resolve production incidents.
  • Create process flows and technical documentation.
  • Serve as a liaison between business users and technical team to ensure clarity and alignment.

Other Job Functions;

  • Develop manage and collaborate on standard practices and processes within the SDLC framework.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholder to identify needs capture requirements and translate them into functional specifications.
  • Analyze and document current business processes and workflows; recommend improvements for efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Work with cross functional teams to design and implement business solutions
  • Complete any activities tasks and projects assigned.
  • Complete testing of upgrades and fixes within defined deadlines.
  • Ensure all changes comply with change management policies and procedures.
  • Create maintain and update disaster recovery procedures.
  • Available to provide on call support as required.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction by responding in a timely manner to all issues reported to the Help Desk. This support includes but is not limited to computer or peripheral hardware and software network connectivity issues as well as any systems in use.
  • Ensure that all issues are logged promptly and accurately with detailed uptodate information.
  • Ensure timely escalation of problems by documenting the impact and assigning an appropriate priority and resolution target. Initiate escalation as appropriate to ensure management awareness of problems that are severe in nature or that are exceeding documented targets.
  • Recognize potential areas where policies and procedures require change or where new ones need to be developed. Submit recommendations as appropriate.
  • Support the mission and direction of Select Medical both within the Information Services department and throughout the corporation.

Qualifications

Required:

  • BS or BA or equivalent education and experience.
  • 2 or more years IS experience in a technofunctional or business analysist role with both business and technical exposure.
  • 1 or more years project experience.
  • 1 or more years healthcare or healthcare billing experience.
  • Proficient in SQL.
  • Familiarity with APIs system integrations and browserbased technology.
  • PC hardware and peripheral experience.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft productivity applications.
  • Understanding of operating systems such as Windows and OS X/iOS.
  • Superior teamwork skills.
  • Strong problemsolving communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to effectively multitask and adapt to changing business priorities.
  • Superior customer service skills.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Attention to detail.

Preferred:

  • Ability to operate using standard methodologies for the completion of tasks within an agile environment
  • Understanding of SDLC (Software Development Lifecycles)
