Overview
Seeking a new career challenge Then Woolpert is seeking you! Woolpert is hiring an Aviation Consultant to join our team.
The Technical Consultant Subject Matter Expert (SME) is responsible for providing technical subject matter expertise to internal and external stakeholders. This position is client facing and leads opportunity pursuits and assists in knowledge transfer to staff. The Technical Consultant SME will assist in managing client expectations leading technical implementations and providing high level technical resolution.
Responsibilities
Provide technical expertise to clients and internal employees.
Help position the firm as a leader in new and/or emerging areas of expertise.
Represent the firm as an industry leader by:
Presenting at conferences
Producing articles blogs and white papers
Educating clients and internal stakeholders
Research communicate and implement best practices firmwide related to area of expertise.
Translate subject matter terminology into business terms and recommend actionable solutions.
Assist in leading projects and program implementations.
Act as project team leader when requested coordinating work efforts and training staff.
Review technical guides and documents prior to distribution to ensure accuracy.
Provide technical resolutions for complex and critical issues to internal and external stakeholders.
Apply leadingedge principles and contribute to the advancement of company knowledge.
Serve as a technical expert and firm representative at business development functions.
Client Development:
Assist in managing scope budget resources and quality on niche projects.
Lend technical expertise to contract negotiations and bid creation.
Help secure profitable new and/or emerging business opportunities in your area of expertise.
Additional Requirement:
This position may require visits to construction sites to inspect and/or assist field personnel with projects.
Qualifications
- Must have a BA/BS and twelve (12) years related experience years related experience.
- Must have industry specific certification and/or registration.
- Must be mentally and physically capable of performing all essential duties required of the position.
- Must have expert communication skills both verbal and written.
- Must be able to respond effectively to sensitive inquiries from clients regulatory agencies and/or members of the business community.
- Must be able to demonstrate the ability to establish and maintain strong business relationships.
- Must be able to write speeches and articles using original or innovative techniques or style.
- Must have above average presentation skills.
- Must be able to develop computer applications or other analysis techniques appropriate to discipline.
- Must the ability to establish and maintain rapport with employees community leaders and executive management.
- Must possess keen decisionmaking skills using analytical reasoning and judgment.
Resulting Physical Qualifications:
- Must be able to sit for extended periods of time.
- Must be able to operate and manipulate standard office equipment.
- Must be able to occasionally reach bend climb and/or balance.
- Must be able to frequently lift and/or move 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds.
- Must be able to travel as required.
