Job Overview

Summary/Objective

The Field Service Engineer is responsible for providing onsite technical support maintenance and troubleshooting services for cryogenic equipment and systems for customers within the assigned region. This role requires hands on experience strong knowledge and experience in cryogenic systems as well as excellent problemsolving skills and the ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

Essential Functions/Responsibilities

  • Technical Support: Provide expert onsite technical guidance and support to customers on the installation operation and maintenance of cryogenic equipment and systems.
  • Troubleshooting: Identify and diagnose issues with cryogenic systems utilizing advanced troubleshooting techniques to ensure efficient problem resolution while minimizing downtime.
  • Maintenance Services: Perform routine and scheduled maintenance activities on cryogenic systems including inspections calibration and replacement of components or parts as necessary.
  • Onsite Repairs: Respond to customer requests for onsite repairs promptly and effectively utilizing appropriate tools equipment and resources to ensure timely resolution of issues.
  • Customer Training: Conduct training sessions for customers on the safe and proper operation of cryogenic equipment and systems ensuring compliance with OEM and industry standards and regulations.
  • Documentation: Prepare timely field trouble reports maintain accurate and comprehensive service records including equipment history repair reports and customer interaction details to facilitate effective communication and future reference.
  • Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety policies and procedures ensuring a safe working environment for both yourself and customers during service visits.
  • Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with the latest OEM technological advancements and industry trends related to cryogenic systems through ongoing training and selfdevelopment applying this knowledge to enhance service delivery and customer satisfaction.

  • Technical Expertise: The ability to understand and apply specialized knowledge of cryogenic systems equipment and processes. This includes a deep understanding of cryogenic fluids gases and their properties as well as proficiency in operating and maintaining cryogenic equipment.

The Regional Field Engineer should possess strong diagnostic skills the ability to troubleshoot and resolve problems independently and be adept at identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions.
  • Safety Focus: Demonstrates a strong commitment to safety by adhering to established protocols procedures and industry standards. The Regional Field Engineer should prioritize safety and promote a culture of safety consciousness among the entire team.

The Regional Field Engineer should be able to convey technical information to nontechnical individuals in a clear and concise manner.

The Regional Field Engineer should demonstrate flexibility and resilience in handling unforeseen circumstances such as schedule changes emergency calls client demands and sitespecific challenges.

Qualifications

Experience

  • 3 5 years of experience working with cryogenic equipment or a closely related field
  • Proven track record of successfully managing and executing cryogenic installation maintenance and repair projects.
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting and diagnosing issues related to cryogenic systems.
  • Experience in planning and organizing field service activities including equipment inspections and preventive maintenance.

Physical Demands

  • To perform the duties of this job the employee will be required to stand walk sit reach with hands and arms climb or balance stoop or kneel talk and hear and use fingers and hands to feel objects tools or controls.
  • Use standard office equipment such as computers telephones printers copiers etc.
  • Lift 50100 pounds.
  • Work in both office and shop environments at customer and company sites.
  • Overtime and on call may be necessary as the work loads dictates. This may include weekdays weekends nights and/or holidays and travel required up to 80% to meet customer needs.
  • Travel and extended stays at customer work sites.
  • Conditions may vary at each location yet are essentially the same as listed.
  • Job will generally be performed at customer site or in shop environment and generally requires travel to a clients office production facility or industrial/construction job site. Conditions will vary at each location but the conditions listed above will generally apply.
  • A valid drivers license is required and candidates may be required to show a clean driving abstract for travel between the facility locations and client offices as required.
  • A valid passport or the ability to obtain a valid passport is required.

Salary Range:$34/hr. $47/hr
