Basic functionTo act as itinerant Speech Language Pathologist for the Special Education Program. Responsibilities include assessment and instruction of students and consultation for parents and teachersRepresentative dutiesConduct the Speech/Language Program as established by State and Federal referrals and conduct Speech/Language observations at direct service districts and/or Countyoperated programs as individual Speech/Language assessments and prepare assessment reports and recommendations for as a member of the school Student Study in preparing individualized education programs suited to the needs of individual students. Establish welldefined educational goals for students identified as having a Speech/Language Speech/Language therapy and assessments. Provide services following consultation model as parent and teacher counseling and instruction related to the individual students speech and language skills; attend scheduled meetings and confer frequently with parents and professional staff members on student student progress; keep uptodate records on individual student progress and adjust instructional procedures as participate in inservice programs and keep abreast of current clinical theoretical and educational research in the responsibility for the safety and welfare of pupils and other related duties as assigned.
