Job Description
THE POSITION
Assist the children and families in your community! Crawford County Children and Youth Services currently has an opening for a Social Services Aide to help our professional casework staff. DESCRIPTION OF WORK
As a Social Services Aide you will serve as an assistant to the professional casework staff and relieve them of routine case management tasks as directed by a supervisor. You will perform a variety of entrylevel social services and case management duties designed to provide supportive services to children youth and families. Your duties will include assisting with interviews to obtain and verify information schedule or accompany caseworkers on home visits and supervising visits between parents and children. You can expect to document case activity through records case histories correspondence and reports. Additionally you will serve summons and subpoenas transports clients and serve as a liaison for Children and Youth Services.
Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Fulltime employment
- Work hours are 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM Monday Friday with a 60minute lunch.
- Overtime as needed
- Telework:You will not have the option to telework in this position.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- One year as a County Social Services Aide 2;or
- Graduation from high school or its equivalency and three years of experience in public contact work in a human services agency which included one year of experience in interviewing and obtaining information;or
- An associates degree in sociology social welfare psychology gerontology criminal justice or other related social sciences and one year of experience in a human services agency;or
- Any equivalent combination of experience and training.

- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
Legal Requirements:
- This position falls under the provisions of the Child Protective Services Law.
- Under the Law a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports including but not limited to PA State Police clearance PA Child Abuse history clearance and FBI Fingerprint clearance.
