Dean of Students High School Teacher Salary Schedule

OF ASSIGNMENT
Serve as liaison between staff students and community to maintain a positive and childcentered school climate as well as provide administrative support within a culturally diverse environment.
FUNCTIONS

QUALIFICATIONS
and Experience
1. Bachelors degree in Education or related field.
2. Successful experience as a classroom teacher and/or in a support position.
Knowledge Skills and Abilities
1. Demonstrated proficiency in written and oral communication.
2. Demonstrated proficiency in the use of technology.
3. Demonstrated ability to interact positively with students parents and community.
4. Knowledge of developmental characteristics and needs of early adolescents.
5. Knowledge of high school level philosophy and programs.
6. Knowledge of state and federal rules and regulations for attendance/truancy.
7. Knowledge of state and federal rules and regulations for discipline.
C. Desirable Qualifications
1. Three (3) to five (5) years successful teaching or educational staff associate experience with increasing levels of responsibility.
2. Masters degree in education or related field.
3. Washington Administrator Credential or demonstrated interest in working towards that credential.
4. Knowledge of state and federal rules and regulations for special education.
D. Certification and Licenses
State Teaching Certificate with appropriate endorsement(s).

V. WORKING CONDITIONS
Work is performed in a regular school building. May involve negotiating steps ramps uneven surfaces and going outdoors in all types of weather to reach some classrooms or other buildings. Tolerance of occasional loud noises; standard use of arms hands and fingers; and ability to sit and/or stand for prolonged periods of time are required. May be exposed to angry or hostile individuals. Requires sitting turning lifting objects using proper lifting techniques weighing 30 lbs.

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT
Employment with Clover Park School District is conditional pending completion of a Washington State Patrol and Federal Bureau of Investigation fingerprint background check as required by RCW28A.400.303. (NOTE: All associated background check fees are the employees responsibility.) The fingerprint scan must be completed prior to the first day of employment.

Retirement and Deferred Compensation
Eligible employees are required to be a member of the Washington State Department of Retirement Systems Plan. For eligibility information check on the link to theDepartment of Retirement Systems web site.
Employees also have the ability to participate in tax deferred 403(b) and 457 Deferred Compensation Plans (DCP). These are supplemental retirement savings programs that allows you control over the amount of pretax salary dollars you defer as well as the flexibility to choose between multiple investment options.

*Clover Park School District total possible pay consists of base salary plus the following:
Building Centered Responsibility 5 days
District Centered Responsibility 2.5 days
Event Responsibility 1 day
Attendance required for compensation of responsibility pay (buildingcentered districtcentered and event).
