About the Team
The SandboxAQ AI Generation Engine (SAIGE) teams mission is to accelerate SandboxAQs mission of Deep Impact at Scale with a focus on quantitative AI and rapid prototyping. More specifically the SAIGE team aims to:
- Build nextgeneration AI capabilities that establish SandboxAQ as the global pacesetter in quantitative AI.
- Identify incubate prototype and launch new AI products for highpotential and longerterm use cases proving (or disproving) their viability as highimpact highly profitable business lines.
- Support internal AI teams and help build new AI applications and infrastructures across SandboxAQs business units.
Our team operates on the following principles: Prototype with Velocity Explore Boldly Fail Smart Learn Fast Look Forward and Share Knowledge.
About the Role
We are looking for a handson Software Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role you will be instrumental in building innovative systems and prototypes from the ground up. You will have the opportunity to work on fullstack development projects contributing to both frontend and backend components. This position is ideal for an engineer who is passionate about tackling new problems moving quickly from concept to tangible proofofconcept and making a significant impact in the rapidly evolving field of AI.
Key Responsibilities
- Design develop test deploy maintain and improve software systems agents and cuttingedge AI prototypes.
- Collaborate with researchers product managers and other engineers to translate ideas and research into functional and scalable products.
- Build fullstack applications with opportunities to work on all parts of the technology stack.
- Embrace rapid iteration and agile methodologies to quickly deliver and test new features and products.
- Contribute to the teams culture of innovation continuous learning and knowledge sharing.
Qualifications
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science a related technical field or equivalent practical experience.
- Proven experience as a Software Engineer with a strong track record of building and shipping highquality software.
- Handson experience with both frontend and backend technologies.
- Proficiency in one or more generalpurpose programming languages (e.g. Python JavaScript TypeScript)
- Experience with building and working with prototypes and iterating quickly based on feedback.
- Strong problemsolving skills and the ability to work effectively in a fastpaced collaborative environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Meaningful experience with frontend development frameworks and libraries (e.g. React Angular ).
- Experience with cloud platforms (e.g. GCP AWS Azure) and containerization technologies (e.g. Docker Kubernetes).
- Proficiency with AI tools for coding (e.g. Cursor GitHub CoPilot)
- Experience in a startup or fastgrowing technology company.
The US base salary range for this fulltime position is expected to be $167K $234K per year. Our salary ranges are determined by role and level. Within the range individual pay is determined by factors including jobrelated skills experience and relevant education or training. This role may be eligible for annual discretionary bonuses and equity.
