Sanford Childrens Castle is looking for an experienced phlebotomist who loves kids for a fulltime position!Schedule: MondayFriday 8:00am5:00pm; No evenings weekends or holidays
Duties: Phlebotomy and blood collection services primarily on children from newborn to teenagers plus some adult outreach patients. Rooming patients and entering vitals in patients chart.
Applicants with an active phlebotomy certification qualify for Senior Lab Assistant job profile with wage range $17.0025.50

Uses equipment to collect samples of blood and other fluids from patients/residents; explains procedures to patients/residents and collects information from them in a professional manner.Job Description
Collects and manages samples of blood and specimens from patients/residents; ensures patient/resident safety during the sample collection process. Records and documents patient/resident information accurately. Follows all standard procedures and safety regulations; deploys asepsis techniques during phlebotomy procedures. Communicates with patients/residents collecting their health information and answering their questions regarding phlebotomy procedures.
Qualifications
High school diploma or General Educational Development Diploma (GED) required.
Completion of a formal phlebotomy program phlebotomy experience and experience in a laboratoryrelated field preferred. May be required to have Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
