Salary: Sand Springs Public Schools Administrative Pay Scale (Based on years of experience) plus an additional stipend for the EarlyLearning Center/Daycare
The school Principal serves as the educational leader responsible for managing the policies regulations and procedures to ensure that all scholars are supervised in a safe learning environment that meets the schools approved curricula and mission.
Achieving academic excellence requires that the school Principal collaborate to direct and nurture all members of the school staff and communicate effectively with parents. The position also includes responsibilities for scheduling curriculum development extracurricular activities personnel management emergency procedures and facility operations.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

- Establish and promote high standards and expectations for all scholars and staff for academic performance and responsibility for behavior.
- Manage evaluate and supervise effective and clear procedures for the operation and functioning of the school consistent with its philosophy mission values and goals including instructional programs extracurricular activities and discipline systems to ensure a safe and orderly climate building maintenance program evaluation personnel management office operations and emergency procedures.
- Ensure compliance with all laws network policies and civil regulations.
- Establish the annual master schedule for instructional programs ensuring sequential student learning experiences consistent with the networks philosophy mission statement and instructional goals.
- Supervise the schools instructional programs evaluating lesson plans and observing classes (teaching as duties allow) on a regular basis to encourage the use of a variety of instructional strategies and materials consistent with research on learning and child growth and development.
- Establish procedures for the evaluation and selection of instructional materials and
- Keep the network advised of employees not meeting their contractual agreement.
- Research and collect data regarding the needs of scholars and other pertinent information.
- Keep the staff informed and seek ideas for the improvement of the school.

- Conduct meetings as necessary for the proper functioning of the school: weekly meetings for fulltime staff; monthly staff meetings.
- Establish an effective inventory system for all school supplies materials and equipment.
- Establish procedures that create and maintain attractive organized functional healthy clean and safe facilities paying proper attention to visual acoustic and temperature.
- Assume responsibility for the health safety and welfare of scholars employees and visitors.
- Develop clearly understood procedures and provide regular drills for emergencies and disasters.
- Maintain a master schedule to be posted for all teachers.
- Establish schedules and procedures for supervising scholars in nonclassroom areas (including before and after school).
- Follow all expectations and demands for Accreditation.
- Follow all district state and federal guidelines.
- Maintain visibility with scholars teachers parents and the network.
- Communicate regularly with parents seeking their support and advice to create a cooperative relationship that will benefit the schools scholars.
- Supervise the districts Early Learning Facility Director and employees.
- Use practical presentation skills when addressing scholars staff parents and the community including appropriate vocabulary and examples clear and legible visuals and articulate and audible speech.
- Use excellent written and oral English skills when communicating with scholars parents and teachers.
- Complete all records and reports as requested by the network in a timely fashion.
- Maintain accurate attendance records.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to speak clearly in a wellmodulated voice with good diction. Ability to read write and interpret English in various forms. Ability to communicate clearly and concisely both orally and in writing.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Ability to add subtract multiply and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers common fractions and decimals. Ability to compute rate ratio and percent and draw and interpret bar graphs.
REASONING ABILITY:
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out written and oral instructions. Ability to define problems collect data establish facts and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with abstract and concrete variables.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
An employee must meet the physical demands described here to perform the essential functions of this job successfully. The employee will be lifting bending and crawling under desks and counters; must be able to raise a minimum of fifty (50) pounds. The employee will be standing and climbing stairs.

Training and Experience:
- Masters Degree in Education or related field required (Early Childhood preferred)
- Must have a valid Oklahoma administrators license
- A minimum of five (5) years teaching experience required (Early Childhood preferred)
- One (1) year of administrative and/or supervisory experience (preferred).
- Additional training and certification for the ELC (Early Learning Center/Daycare) are mandatory. The district will pay for these.
