The Associate Recruitment Manager is responsible for management of the Colorado (Colorado Springs and Denver) California (Los Angeles San Francisco and Silicon Valley) Houston and Minneapolis offices law school oncampus recruitment processes and outreach the Summer Associate programs as well as special projects for the national recruiting team. This team member will provide management and oversight to a team supporting these offices and projects. The Associate Recruitment Manager reports to the Director of Associate Recruitment and works closely with the lawyers overseeing the offices recruiting and Summer Associate committees.
The position can be resident in Denver Houston Los Angeles or San Francisco.
RESPONSIBILTIES
LAW STUDENT RECRUITMENT
- In connection with the National Recruiting Manager and the team oversee law school outreach including sponsorships mock interviews and student programming.
- Manage oncampus interview (OCI) registrations (including resume collect processes) for participating local schools as needed and manage direct application submissions. Assist with the attorney staffing of national level school programming and team staffing as needed.
- Oversee candidate travel and review/approve travel expenses.
- Manage the callback invitation process scheduling interviews with candidates as well as overseeing the scheduling of inoffice and virtual interview meetings.
- Supervise the preparation of Recruitment Committee (RC) meeting statistics and reports; attend RC meetings manage postmeeting action items ensure preparation of candidate correspondence.
- Manage and oversee postoffer follow up activity including scheduling second office visits and tracking of candidates through final hiring result.
- Manage preparation of postoffer candidate communications including electronic surveys.
- Working with the recruiting team assist with thecompletion of postinterview season feedback.
- Supervise 1L resume collect and OCI process as appropriate.
- Plan implement and drive efforts to increase and improve firm visibility and firm brand at targeted schools.
- Support law student hiring and inclusion initiatives.
- Work with Recruitment Committee cochairs to establish and meet recruiting targets and initiatives.
SUMMER ASSOCIATE RECRUITMENT
- Serve as a key contact and point of information for Summer Associates and others involved with the Summer program.
- Work with the recruiting team to plan and manage Summer Associate onboarding and orientation including prearrival marketing information and outreach and serve as a resource for local office programs.
- Oversee office Summer program initiatives including mentor assignments training work assignments and social activities.
- Manage evaluation processes including oversight of evaluation files and scheduling for midSummer and exit interviews.
- Oversee planning and execution of Summer Associate social events.
- Manage the creation and dissemination of postSummer survey and analyze results.
- Serve as a resource and management support for recruiting team members for execution of Summer program.
LATERAL RECRUITMENT
- With the Manager of Lateral Associate Recruitment work with practice area leaders to identify and analyze lateral hiring needs.
- Screen candidate resumes and work with firm attorneys to identify candidates to be interviewed; oversee the timely preparation and distribution of candidate and search firm correspondence.
- Support lateral attorney hiring initiatives.
- Develop and maintain relationships with legal search firms.
- Ensure the timely and accurate entry of candidate data into applicant tracking systems.
- Serve as a resource and management support for recruiting team members in for experienced lawyer recruitment.
ONBOARDING
- With the recruitment team ensure all attorney onboarding is properly covered and local office onboarding needs are met.
- Oversee arrival information in firm applicant tracking and firm intake/HR systems.
- Manage orientation for incoming Associates in relevant offices
- Serve as a resource and management support for recruiting team members in California offices for onboarding of legal hires.
OTHER
- Manage the preparation and maintenance of recruitment files for Summer Associate associate attorney patent agent and specialist hires in accordance with firm policies and procedures.
- Administer and maintain Hogan Lovells US LLP associate recruiting policies operational procedures and practices consistent with the firm goals and objectives.
- Act as a liaison and contact for US office recruitment.
- Supervise manage and mentor recruiting staff including training coaching and performance feedback.
- Assist with preparation of annual budget related to Summer Associate law student and lateral attorney recruitment and attorney onboarding initiatives.
- Maintain strong working relationships with internal and external constituencies including HL lawyers and administrative departments law school career services professionals search firms vendors and others.
- Keep abreast of current recruiting practices in the relevant regions and maintain membership with the local recruiting professional organization and National Association for Law Placement (NALP).
- All members of the firm are expected to participate in our Global Citizenship program.
- Other responsibilities and special projects such as internal communications from the Recruiting team national presentations and reporting as assigned by the Director of Associate Recruitment.

EDUCATION CERTIFICATIONS AND/OR EXPERIENCE
- Seven (7) years of experience in legal recruitment or similarly situated professional services company with at least three (3) years of experience in staff/team management preferred.
- Bachelors degree or equivalent workrelated experience.
Core hours are Monday through Friday 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. with one hour for lunch. Must be flexible to travel and work additional hours as needed
In Denver the annualized salary range for this position is $140000 to $175000 Los Angeles $152000 to $190000 and San Francisco $172000 to $215000 depending on the candidates overall experience and other jobrelated factors permitted by law. Fulltime employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus. In addition fulltime employees as well as some parttime employees will be eligible for the firms fringe benefits as they currently exist.
