Title: Redbird Philanthropy Engagement Ambassador

The Philanthropy Engagement Ambassador will work as a part of the Philanthropy Engagement Center team and reports to the Associate Director of Philanthropy Engagement Center. This position is tasked to engage with an assigned portfolio of donors across a multitude of fundraising marketing channels utilizing communication cadences to maximize relationship building and secure fundraising production. The Philanthropy Engagement Ambassador is a representative of Illinois State University and the Office of Annual Giving providing updates on campus events and changes information on scholarships and giving opportunities and reflections on personal experiences of Illinois State University. The position will be responsible for assisting the Associate Director and team in producing and utilizing creative engagement content pursuing personal fundraising metrics determined by the Associate Director and serving as an ambassador for the University. This position requires strong verbal and written communication skills the ability to maintain positivity and professionalism in demanding situations and the ability to think strategically in a fastpaced environment. The Redbird Philanthropy Engagement team is an excellent opportunity to develop knowledge and expertise in communication fundraising and public relations and build a skill set and demonstrated success that will enhance a professional resume. Other responsibilities can include:
1. Serve as an ambassador by establishing an open line of communication between the assigned College and its supporters.
2. Gain a greater understanding of the assigned College its organizational structure and its annual needs for financial support.
3. Call email send personalized video messages text and conduct video calls with constituents (alumni parents friends etc.) to build personal rapport engage and generate gifts to support college and university funding priorities.
4. Work with other students in a teamoriented environment to achieve institutional goals.
The Illinois State University Foundation is a notforprofit organization that manages the private gifts that are given to the University each year. The Foundation ensures that money given to Illinois State is used as the donor intended and is consistent with the mission of the University.

2. Prior work experience in a professional setting
3. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a special focus on interpersonal skills with new people

Illinois State University student employees are restricted to no more than 28 hours per week of oncampus employment for all positions held.
