Job Description

The Customer Service Lead provides support to the Customer Service Manager Customer Service by providing guidance and support to the Customer Service team while also directly assisting visiting customers and tenants. This role ensures the Customer Service Center operates efficiently and provides exceptional service.

  • Direct and supervise staff to ensure the Customer Service Center is stocked organized clean and all customers and tenants are properly assisted with all requests and questions or directed to the appropriate staff member for assistance. This includes but is not limited to: general information store locations & directions business hours transportation and special events.
  • Ensures Customer Service Center is open promptly each day.
  • Perform daily operations regarding: Lottery gift cards miscellaneous sales and operating a Point of Sales system.
  • Answer all inbound calls daily.
  • Distribute voicemail messages from the main number and distribute written phone messages.
  • Review and respond to all customer service emails throughout each day.
  • Maintain log for tracking requests from tenants.
  • Coordinate distribution of memos newsletters and other correspondence to tenants.
  • Serve as a representative of the California Welcome Center providing visitors with travel and tourism information.
  • Ensure brochures/directories/promotional material is stocked at counter.
  • Maintain stroller/wheelchair rentals and logbook.
  • Maintain the log and inventory of all lost and found items accurately and up to date.
  • Foster a positive and collaborative team environment.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES This position will provide work direction to staff in the department.

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE

  • High school diploma or general equivalency diploma (G.E.D.)
  • 3 4 years of experience in Customer Service (1 year must be in a supervisory position).
