Job Description
Job Title: Custodial Summer Help
2 POSITIONS FOR 6 HOURS A DAY
**Must be at least 15 years old**
Primary Purpose:
Move and arrange classroom and office furniture in order to prep for summer cleaning.
Qualifications:
Special Knowledge/Skills:
Ability to read understand and follow instructions for cleaning maintenance and safety procedures
Ability to carry and move furniture (desks chairs tables etc.)
Major Responsibilities and Duties:
- Assist with summer prep for cleaning including moving and arranging tables and chairs.
- Move furniture within buildings as directed by supervisor.
- Assist custodial department
Safety
- Follow established safety procedures and techniques to perform job duties including lifting and climbing.
Mental Demands/Physical Demands/Environmental Factors:
Posture: Frequent standing sitting kneeling/squatting bending/stooping pushing/pulling and twisting
Motion: Frequent walking climbing stairs grasping/squeezing wrist flexion/extension reaching and overhead reaching
Lifting: Heavy lifting and carrying (45 pounds and over) on a daily basis
Environment: Work outside and inside on slippery or uneven walking surfaces; frequent exposure to extreme hot and cold temperatures and dust; possible irregular hours; occasional prolonged hours
Mental Demands: Maintain emotional control under stress
