Opportunity Awaits Apply Today! Physical Activity Policy Specialist (Program Analyst 3)

The Physical Activity Policy Specialist evaluates and recommends program priorities to achieve state program goals and meet funding requirements to promote active living for Oregonians. This position determines statewide policies procedures and priorities consistent with the mission and policies of the Oregon Health Authority Public Health Division and the federal Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. The Physical Activity Policy Specialist recommends legislative concepts to address chronic disease prevention tobacco control and related chronic disease risk factors including but not limited to nutrition and active living. This position provides strategic coordination and assistance to County Health Departments and other partners in enforcement of state policies and the development implementation and enforcement of local policies to address chronic disease prevention tobacco control nutrition and physical activity promotion. This position is responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with members of local state and national agencies community organizations and various programs and strategic allies.

What We Are Looking For

Minimum Qualifications: These qualifications must be visible in your application for consideration.

A Bachelors Degree in Business or Public Administration Behavioral or Social Sciences or a degree related to the agency program that demonstrates the capacity for the knowledge and skills; and four years experience coordinating or administering a program.
OR
Any combination of experience or education equivalent to seven years of experience that typically supports the knowledge and skill requirements listed for the classification.
