We systematically detect remove and prevent problematic accounts content and behavior and we make Roblox accounts secure and free from compromise. We cover a broad area of the tech spectrum including machine learning classifiers for 3D models experimentation automation detection workflows and AIpowered text filters. Aligned and partnering with product teams we use this toolbelt to discover new opportunities influence and shape the product roadmap and prioritization build safety products and measure the impact on our community of users and developers. Why Safety Foundation
At Roblox we believe that Safety and Civility are fundamental to fostering a vibrant creative community. The Safety Foundation pod is responsible for building the tools that support our global moderation labeling and customer support workforce and our legal and global compliance teams. The team also works closely with Robloxs product teams to help them successfully onboard to Robloxs Safety Platform. If you are passionate about making Roblox a safe and fun place for people of all ages around the world then this is the team for you.
You Will:
- Help define your teams roadmap and long term internal tooling strategy
- Build the tooling to support Robloxs global workforce including a full suite of workforce management functionality
- Become an expert in how to make Roblox features safe and assist partner teams in effectively and efficiently onboarding onto the Safety Platform
- Help extend the Safety Platform to handle the rapidly evolving capabilities of Robloxs feature set
- Empower innovation by pushing your team to discover creative and pragmatic solutions to the problem areas youve defined
- Scale your teams impact by mentoring them individually to grow in their careers as well bringing in top talent
You Have:
- Equivalent experience or a Bachelors degree in Computer Science or a related field with a minimum of 3 years of people management experience
- 7 years of handson experience in software development with experience delivering highly performant backend or fullstack solutions.
- Programming experience in one compiled (C C# Java) and one interpreted script language (JS PHP Python Lua etc)
- Collaboration skills across multiple teams and disciplines

- Versatile: Youre a jack of all trades and you are comfortable with several languages and technologies already; you are adaptable in any situation. You are resourceful and take a creative and strategic approach to solving hard problems.
- DataLiterate: Schema design telemetry batch and streaming frameworks at scale. You understand the challenges of keeping data both intuitive to use and trustworthy.
- User Oriented: You always start with the needs of the user whether they are Roblox users or internal engineers before architecting a solution.
- Team Oriented:You lift up your peers and find ways to make the team stronger.
