Primary Purpose: Provide support for teachers in the implementation of researchbased instructional strategies. Work directly with teachers to provide classroom demonstrations in rigorous standardsbased teaching that results in academic success for all learners. Enhance teachers abilities to provide instruction that build students skills and content knowledge is academically rigorous addresses the curriculum standards and enhances students engagement and ownership of learning.
Education / Certification:
- Bachelors degree from accredited university Masters degree (preferred).
- Valid Texas teaching certificate with required endorsements for subject and levelassigned.
- Teaching certification held in multiple areas is preferred.
Experience / Other Requirements
1. At least 5 years teaching experience.

- General knowledge of coaching techniques and procedures.
- Ability to share and present proven instructional practices.
- Strong organizational communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of successful classroom management and experience with planning for effective instruction.
- Knowledge of curriculum and instruction.
- Ability to analyze and interpret data for the purpose of designing effective instruction.
Major Responsibilities and Duties:
Planning
- Work parallel with teachers in designing instruction that provides success for alllearners.
- Provide Collaborative and oneonone instructional coaching; facilitate teacher inquiryand related professional development.
- Coach and plan with teachers in the development of standards aligned daily weeklyand unit lesson plans.
- Coach teachers in using data to determine areas of need and problem solvingappropriately aligned solutions.
- Plan for professional learning opportunities aligned to district campus and teacherGoals.
- Analyze and interpret data for the purpose of designing effective instruction.
Instruction
- Impact student achievement through the development and guidance of implementation of research based instructional practices.
- Provide ongoing professional learning through modeled lessons within the classroom setting.
- Lead learning communities and professional learning opportunities based on campusand district needs as well as goals.
- Conducts classroom observations as a part of the coaching cycle and providesimmediate critical feedback to enhance classroom instruction (not evaluative).
- Supports teachers in the development of purposeful standards aligned formative and summative assessments.
- Support staff in achieving professional goals through personalized professionaldevelopment.
- Support the academic achievement of At Risk learners.
Learning Environment
- Build relationships across all levels of stakeholders to ensure a positive learningEnvironment.
- Leads professional learning opportunities for campus.
- Facilitates data meetings with grade level teams.
- Facilitates planning during district planning opportunities such as Quality Instructional Learning Time.
- Uses effective instructional strategies and communication when facilitating adultlearning.
Professional Practice and Responsibility
- Is a member of and/or supports the Campus Site Team in the development of thecampus strategic plan.
- Attends district level meetings and trainings and is a liaison between district andcampus.
- Communicates and collaborates with districtlevel curriculum consultants and program leaders to ensure rigorous relevant curricula and instructional practices that will increase student achievement.
- Effectively communicates and works collaboratively with all stakeholders.
- Maintains a professional relationship with colleagues students parents andCommunity.
- Organize maintain and submit documentation as required by local state and federal guidelines.
- Responsible for properly maintaining district records adhering to all policies set forth by the district for records maintenance and learning the records retention schedule for department records.
