Calvin University is looking for a dynamic motivated individual to be a Community Living Support Graduate Assistant. In this position you will work alongside students in the Life & Career Studies Program to help them meet their independent living goals. Student goals are predetermined by their PersonCentered Plan expectations and goals vary per client. Goal categories include home maintenance cooking socialization and personal safety.
The Community Living Support Graduate Assistant will also be responsible for completing documentation paperwork after each shift. Community Living Support may be delivered in an individual or smallgroup setting.

This position is a 32week parttime livein position. Hours for this position are flexible but will be consistent throughout the semester. Evening availability is required must have reliable transportation and a good driving record or be familiar with The Rapid bus system.
Specific job duties:
1. Ensure followthrough of the individuals PersonCentered Plan (PCP).
2. Assist model encourage and instruct to help the students achieve their goals.
3. Support students in reaching goals through productive and creative methods.
4. Document the students progress training strategies and new goals after each shift.
5. Safely transport the student when necessary. This may mean using The Rapid bus system with the assigned student.
