Job Description
AECOM Technical Services Inc. is seeking a Civil Engineering III in Bloomfield NJ.
Job Responsibilities:
- Perform geotechnical design and analysis for foundations embankments and retaining walls.
- Perform engineering analysis using various geotechnical software for foundations seepage settlement slopes and excavation support.
- Performs subsurface investigation and laboratory testing.
- Assist in the preparation of geotechnical reports and recommendations under supervision of an experienced geotechnical Engineer.
- May telecommute.

Qualifications :
Candidates must have a Bachelors degree in Geotechnical Engineering Civil Engineering or related field and 4 years of experience in the job offered or in a Civil Engineeringrelated occupation. In the alternative the employer will accept a Masters degree in Geotechnical Engineering Civil Engineering or related field and 2 years of experience in the job offered or in a Civil Engineeringrelated occupation.
Position requires the following:
- Performing soil descriptions in accordance with Burmeister method;
- Perform field permeability testing
- Geotechnical analysis and design for foundations embankments retaining walls Support of excavation seepage evaluation and settlement analysis;
- Mathcad and Geotechnical software including: Gint Lpile GROUP SlopeW SEEPW and Ct Shoring
- Use of Autocad and Microstation
