Job Description
TITLE:AdvancedElectrical Engineer (You MUST currently be a US Citizen)
RATE RANGE: $40/hr $59/hr W2 (no health benefits while on contract)
CLEARANCE: Secret obtainable within reasonable time based on requirements
LOCATION: ONSITE in Manassas VA 20110 (no relocation package)

GeoLogics is seeking aMidLevel Electrical Engineer with 5 years of technical experienceto become an integral member of the engineering team dedicated to the development of militarygrade electronics the Common Weapon Launcher (CWL) system.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Analyze and design ACDC and DCDC power systems and power control
- Integrate test troubleshoot and verify electrical hardware
- Develop test criteria and assist in the design of test systems
- Perform component and architecture trade studies to determine optimal system solutions to design hardware and electronics based on commercial and industry components and technologies
- Design cable assemblies
- Develop new electronics in the form of PCB designs and corresponding tests
- Develop technical presentations recommendations and written communications to explain technical issues to program management and the Navy customer
- Generate design and interface documentation
Knowledge Skills and Abilities
Experience with the engineering development life cycle including concept requirements design implementation and test phases
Experience with MILSTD1399 and MILSTD461 design and qualification
Experience with design and debug of switch mode DCDC converters including knowledge of control loop stability analysis
Experience with design and debug of 3phase ACDC conversion including transformer design
Working knowledge of common communication interfaces such as RS422 RS485 and LVDS
Experience in analog and digital circuit design
Experience with lab equipment including signal generators high speed oscilloscopes power analyzers
Proficiency in all phases of PCB design including: creation of highlevel functional diagrams SPICE analysis power analysis component selection schematic entry and working with the PCB layout team to optimize placement signal integrity fitment etc.
Strong documentation and communication skills
OrCAD Capture experience a plus
Experience with firmware or microcontrollers a plus
Experience with VHDL/Verilog a plus
REQUIRED EDUCATION
Requires a STEM degreeBachelors degree in Electrical Engineering or a related Science Engineering or Mathematics field. Also requires 5 years of jobrelated experience or a Masters degree plus 3 years of jobrelated experience.
