About the Position:
Under general supervision to assist Gas Mechanics of higher classification and as proficiency increases to perform work of progressively increasing variety and complexity.
Job Qualifications:
- Must possess valid CDL B.
- Should be mechanically inclined and capable of performing strenuous work;
- Applicant will be required to demonstrate the mental ability and aptitude to become a Gas Mechanic.
- Must pass physical abilities examination.
- Must pass validated aptitude test
NOTE: Employees who demonstrate their aptitude for the work and establish a satisfactory record as a Gas Mechanic Helper will be promoted to a Gas Mechanic A. A satisfactory record must include the successful completion of Gas Mechanic A school and meeting the qualifications set forth for a Gas Mechanic A.
