The primary purpose of this Loan Officer position is to assist Beacon Credit Union in living out our missionDedicated to Our Members Financial Successby delivering outstanding service to both internal and external members. A key component of this service delivery is to identify the financial needs of each member and recommend an appropriate Credit Union solution.
In addition the Loan Officer processes and closes consumer loan applications approved by the Centralized Lending Department ensuring all required documentation is gathered. They understand the five Cs of credit and Beacon CUs policies meet monthly sales and loan goals are knowledgeable about Beacon CUs products and services and apply the Mike Neill techniques to achieve success.
Major Duties and Responsibilities
- Ensure Loans are submitted and underwritten in accordance with Beacons policy in a timely manner.
- Is knowledgeable and understands all of Beacon CUs products and services. Responsible for increasing product and service penetration with current as well as potential members.
- Review completed loan packages prior to funding of the loan. Review and compliance completed loan packages before sending to loan review.
- Act in the capacity of a Teller when requested. Must understand all applicable teller policies and procedures. Mission statement and service standards are met while on the teller line to ensure every member every time is our standard.
- Follow all applicable regulations including Bank Secrecy Act Patriot Act Reg CC and Antimoney Laundering. Adheres to all SAFE ACT regulations.
- Deliver outstanding service to external and internal members in alignment with the Credit Unions service standards.
- All other duties assigned by management.
Experience
- Two years working in a Financial Institution
- Sales Experience
