You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailThe Sales Technical Advisor will build and maintain relationships with the Territory Sales Managers (TSMs) within the assigned region to provide technical assistance related to lubricants and ancillary product recommendations plant surveys lubrication program recommendations and services including training filtration and sampling programs.
Annual Business Development Plan Creation
Understand assigned growth service and training goals and responsibilities of the region
Understand vendor and company product goals and incorporate into the business plan
Develop plan to establish feebased service programs with key accounts throughout region
Develop plan to achieve filtration services growth targets
Customer TSM & Vendor Relationships
Understand and adhere to company and customer safety requirements
Understand customers business needs and challenges
Regular review of industrial segment accounts with Territory Sales Managers
Perform precall planning activities to appropriately prepare for customer/prospect visits product volume sales and new product opportunities
Maintaining an appropriate frequency of customer contact to support service efforts
Develop and maintain a log of Power Generation turbine fill history to support the sales forecast process
Provide technical expertise to Territory Sales Managers; consideration toward product recommendations oil analysis interpretation
Conduct/coordinate onsite training and lubrication audits where appropriate (minimum of 8 per year)
Maintain vendor relationships and product volume targets where appropriate
Performance Commitment
Meet or exceed growth service and training targets and other sales initiatives assigned
Utilize tools provided to drive performance in the industrial segment
Perform lead generation activities such as joining customer trade associations web searches vendor leads and cold calling
Perform constant evaluation of post visit/call effectiveness; make adjustments to selling/relationship strategies as necessary
Personal Development:
Take ownership of and participate in personal development activities including but not limited to: meeting attendance sales events and online and classroom training programs industry news etc.
Maintain lubrication related certifications and credentials
A valid drivers license is .
Minimum of five years of related sales experience in the lubricant industry sector; or the equivalent combination of formal education and experience is required.
Problemsolving and analytical skills to interpret sales performance market trends and oil analysis information.
Proven ability to secure the sale through sales strategy development.
Excellent oral and written communication skills
